Bike Tour of Iguazú National Park
On this bike tour, participants will explore the Iguazú National Park in the Argentine province of Misiones, known for its natural beauty. The tour begins with a pickup from the hotel in Puerto Iguazú at the scheduled time and then heads to the park.
The tour starts from the Gendarmerie post on National Route 101, where a dirt road through the jungle connects Puerto Iguazú with Comandante Andresito. Throughout the ride, there will be several stops to observe native butterfly species, various birds, and mammals such as the tapir.
The first section of the cycling route extends 1.2 miles (2 km) and includes learning about local plant species. Participants will then cycle 1.8 miles (3 km) to reach the shore of the Iguazú River. While the famous waterfalls are not visible, the route offers extraordinary panoramic views of the surrounding green landscape.
A break will be taken to allow participants to rest and recharge with food brought from home while enjoying the lush jungle scenery along the Iguazú River. The bike tour concludes with a return to the Gendarmerie post, followed by a transfer back to the hotel in Puerto Iguazú, approximately 4 hours after the initial pickup.
