What is the habitat of Puerto Iguazú's nocturnal animals like? We'll discover this during our nighttime hiking tour around Iryapú Jungle Reserve.

Description

We will meet at Jangadero, 136 and proceed to the Iryapú Natural Reserve in the Paranaense rainforest.

The natural reserve spans 600 hectares (1,482 acres), where we will embark on a nighttime hike to explore the customs and traditions of the indigenous Mbya-Guaraní peoples.

This lower-difficulty hike covers a total distance of 4 km (2.48 miles), showcasing huge trees, including rosewoods, guatambus, and cedars, along with strangler fig trees, a variety of palm trees, ferns, orchids, and fruit trees.

We will observe various species such as coatis, weasels, cai monkeys, southern tamanduas, short-tailed opossums, and snakes. If attentive, we may also spot frogs, spiders, and a wide variety of insects. We will ensure to pick up any rubbish seen during the hike.

The tour concludes with a return to the starting point, followed by our return to the meeting point in Puerto Iguazú, with an overall duration of approximately 2 hours.
