Options
When you book, you can select one of two options. Both include pickup and drop-off for hotels in Puerto Iguazu.
San Ignacio Miní & Wanda Mines (12 Hours)
Pickup will occur from your hotel in the morning, traveling along the Paraná River towards the south of Misiones. The first stop will be at the San Ignacio Miní Jesuit Mission ruins, a registered World Heritage Site. Here, learn about Roque González de Santa Cruz, who founded the mission in the 17th century. Notably, this site served as a film set for scenes from the famous Robert de Niro film "The Mission." The tour includes a sound and light show and architecture appreciation of its stone buildings crafted by indigenous artists.
Next, visit the Wanda Mines, known for semi-precious stones such as quartz and amethysts, with explanations on extraction and processing, including a stop at a yerba mate mill. The tour concludes with a return to your hotel.
Wanda Mines (4 Hours)
Pickup will be from a chosen meeting point for a one-hour journey to the Wanda Mines. Experience firsthand the extraction process of semi-precious stones and visit the mine workshop to understand the preparation of these materials. The trip concludes back at your hotels in Puerto Iguazu.
Pickup or Meeting Point
This tour includes pickup from hotels in the centre of Puerto Iguazu, with the option for a pickup at the Meliá Hotel. If staying elsewhere, you can meet at the ACA petrol station. After booking, you will be contacted to confirm the pickup time.
