Ever heard of Isla de la Plata? With this excursion from Puerto López, we'll discover the beautiful landscapes of this small island that's part of Machalilla National Park!

Isla de la Plata Excursion

At the scheduled time, we will meet at the dock of Puerto Lopez and board a boat. After approximately 2 hours of sailing, we will reach Isla de la Plata, which is part of the Machalilla National Park.

This protected area, one of the most extensive along the coastline, includes both terrestrial and marine zones and is home to the only coral reefs in Ecuador.

During the trip, a local guide will provide explanations while we take in the landscape, featuring sea birds, rock formations, cliffs, and more. Upon arrival, we will explore the island to observe its endemic fauna and flora, often referred to as the Little Galapagos.

After our walk, we will enjoy a picnic lunch that includes a sandwich, two seasonal fruits, mineral water, and soda. Following lunch, we will proceed to a designated area for snorkeling, where the crystalline waters allow us to view various coral reefs and marine species.

The excursion will conclude with our return to the dock of Puerto Lopez, approximately 9 hours after departure.
