Ever heard of Isla de la Plata? With this excursion from Puerto López, we'll discover the landscapes of this small island that's part of Machalilla National Park!

Isla de la Plata Excursion

At the indicated time, we'll meet at the dock of Puerto Lopez, where we'll board a boat. After sailing for about 2 hours, we'll arrive at Isla de la Plata, located in the Machalilla National Park.

This protected area is one of the largest in the country's coastline and consists of two areas: one terrestrial and one marine. This site contains the only coral reefs in Ecuador.

Throughout the trip, we'll listen to explanations from a local guide while admiring the landscape. Sea birds, rock formations, cliffs, and various sights await us. Once on land, we'll stroll to observe the endemic fauna and flora of this island, also known as the Little Galapagos.

At the end of the walk, we'll have a small picnic lunch, which includes a sandwich, two seasonal fruits, mineral water, and soda. After lunch, we'll board the boat and head to a spot for snorkeling. The crystalline waters allow us to see coral reefs and marine species.

We'll conclude the excursion by returning to the dock of Puerto Lopez, arriving 9 hours after we set sail.
