Tour to Los Frailes Beach

Meet us at 9 am at the Hotel Piedra del Mar in Puerto Lopez, where we'll embark on a journey towards one of the park's most breathtaking beaches: Los Frailes. Prepare yourself for a day filled with discovery and excitement!

As we travel, you'll be introduced to fascinating insights about the park. It's noteworthy to mention that this area safeguards some of the last remaining dry forest ecosystems. Nestled within this preservation, Los Frailes awaits with its tranquil waters and pristine sandy shores, perfect for unwinding.

Here, you'll have three hours of leisure to immerse yourself in the waves, take refreshing swims, wander along scenic trails, or delve into the surrounding forest and its stunning viewpoints— the choice is yours.

After a delightful four hours of exploration, we will conclude the tour by bringing you back to your hotel in Puerto Lopez around 1 pm.

Los Frailes Beach + Agua Blanca Community Experience

Looking for a more comprehensive experience? This option includes a visit to the Agua Blanca community alongside your time at Los Frailes beach. The morning will follow the previously outlined itinerary, and at 1 pm, we will head towards the indigenous community also situated within Machalilla National Park.

Upon arrival, accompanied by a guide, we will explore the Agua Blanca museum, showcasing artifacts from the Manteña, Huancavilca, and other pre-Inca civilizations.

Following this, we'll take a stroll through the dry forest leading us to a sulphurous water lagoon for a refreshing dip. Its waters are reputed for their beneficial properties for the skin. Finally, we’ll return to Puerto López by 3 pm.
