San Sebastián Rainforest Excursion

Spend a day in connection with nature in the Ecuadorian province of Manabí on this excursion to the San Sebastián rainforest. We'll see toucans, howler monkeys, and the most exuberant flora.

San Sebastián Rainforest Excursion

After picking you up at the indicated time at the meeting point in Puerto López or Montañita, we'll begin this excursion to the San Sebastián rainforest. We'll travel to Río Blanco, where we start a 3.5-hour hike through the San Sebastián rainforest.

During the hike, we will observe various birds and unique flora found in Machalilla National Park, similar to the Amazon rainforest. This area serves as an important site of biological regeneration within the Choco-Manabi Binational Corridor.

Keep an eye out for howler monkeys, guans, guantas, deer, and various insects. The San Sebastián rainforest is home to more than 150 endemic species of plants.

At around 1:45 pm, we will have a break for a delicious lunch that includes a starter, a main course, and a drink.

The excursion concludes with our return to the meeting point, with arrival scheduled between six and eight hours later, depending on your start location.
