San Sebastián Rainforest Excursion

Spend a day in connection with nature in the Ecuadorian province of Manabí on this excursion to the San Sebastián rainforest. We will see toucans, howler monkeys, and diverse flora.

San Sebastián Rainforest Excursion

After pickup at the specified location in Puerto López or Montañita, we will commence the excursion to the San Sebastián rainforest. We will travel by vehicle to Río Blanco, where we start a 3.5-hour hike through the San Sebastián rainforest.

During the hike, we'll observe various bird species and the flora characteristic of Machalilla National Park, which resembles the Amazon rainforest. This area is an important site of biological regeneration in the Choco-Manabi Binational Corridor.

Keep an eye out for howler monkeys, guans, guantas, deer, and numerous insects. The rainforest hosts over 150 endemic species of plants.

At about 1:45 pm, we will pause for a delicious lunch with a starter, main course, and a drink.

The excursion concludes with the return to the meeting point, with arrival scheduled between six and eight hours later, depending on your starting location.
