Florentino Ameghino Dike
We will collect you from your hotel in Puerto Madryn around 9 am and embark on a 125-mile journey southwest to the Florentino Ameghino dike.
During the tour, you will experience the natural beauty of Argentina's Patagonia region as we traverse extensive plains and the mountains of Chubut province.
After approximately two and a half hours, we will arrive at the Florentino Ameghino dam. Our guide will take us through the tunnels inside the dam and up to the summit of the concrete wall.
From the top, you will see two distinct landscapes: one features an emerald lake and the other showcases a red-rock canyon through which the Chubut river flows.
We will also visit the quaint Villa Dique Florentino Ameghino, a settlement with approximately 200 inhabitants. You can stroll through its streets and have the option to try a regional dish of Patagonian lamb (not included).
After this experience, we will return to the vehicle and head back to your hotel, with an expected arrival time of 5 pm.
