Florentino Ameghino Dam Trip

Florentino Ameghino Dike

At 9 am, we will collect you from your hotel in Puerto Madryn for a 125-mile journey to the Florentino Ameghino dike.

During the tour, you will witness the beauty of Argentina's Patagonia. The trip includes extensive plains and the mountains of Chubut province.

After approximately two and a half hours, we will arrive at the Florentino Ameghino dam, where our guide will lead us through the tunnels and up to the summit of the concrete wall.

From the top, you will see two contrasting landscapes: an emerald lake and a red-rock canyon with the Chubut river flowing through it.

We will also visit Villa Dique Florentino Ameghino, a small settlement of around 200 inhabitants, where you can stroll the streets and try a regional dish of Patagonian lamb (not included).

After our visit, we will return to the vehicle and arrive back at your hotel by 5 pm.
