Day Trip Details
Your day trip begins with pickup from your hotel in Puerto Madryn, followed by a visit to Gaiman, a town with a significant Welsh presence in South America, located along the Chubut River. Here, you'll explore the first Welsh house, built in 1874, showcasing "British style".
The tour continues with a visit to the beautiful main square featuring carved trees and an irrigation canal. You'll learn about Gaiman's history through its railway tunnel and old chapels established by the Welsh settlers.
After this, you can choose to enjoy a typical tea with Welsh cakes at a traditional establishment in Gaiman.
The final stop is Trelew, known for its Welsh name. You'll discover the significance behind it during the tour, and visit the Egidio Feruglio Paleontological Museum (entrance fee not included), where you can view its dinosaur fossil exhibition. The tour concludes with a return to your hotel in Puerto Madryn.
