Explore the waters of the Golfo Nuevo onboard a kayak while discovering the amazing sea lions that live here! You will see these mammals up close in their natural habitat.

Kayak Tour and Sea Lion Sighting

After picking you up at your hotel in Puerto Madryn at 9 am, we will head for Puerto Pirámides. There will be a stop at the Istmo Ameghino interpretation center to learn about the origins and characteristics of the Valdés Peninsula.

Upon arrival at the estancia where the kayaks are, we will equip ourselves and explain safety rules for the activity.

When ready, we will walk to the beach and start paddling in the waters of Golfo Nuevo. We will approach a colony of sea lions and enjoy views of the coast.

We will discuss the main differences between seals and sea lions and highlight threats posed by poaching.

After observing the sea lions, we will paddle back for a picnic lunch that includes a chicken sandwich, a piece of fruit, a cereal bar, and water.

We will conclude the activity and drop you off at your hotel at 3 pm.
