Patagonia Penguin Watching
We will pick you up from your hotel in Puerto Madryn and head directly to Punta Tombo, renowned for its penguin population, allowing you to walk among them. At the visitor center, you will learn about the Patagonian Penguins and their ecosystem. Besides penguins, you may observe local wildlife such as guanacos, Patagonian mara, rheas and foxes. After some free time for lunch, we will proceed north to the Isla Escondida coast, known for elephant seals, the largest seal in the world, measuring up to 5 meters and weighing 4 tonnes. After a day appreciating the area's biodiversity, we will return to your hotel in Puerto Madryn.
Important information
Penguins migrate to Punta Tombo to mate and lay eggs between September and February. However, animals are unpredictable, and sightings are not guaranteed throughout the season.
