Patagonia Penguin Watching
After picking you up from your hotel in Puerto Madryn, we will travel directly to Punta Tombo, known for excellent penguin viewing, where you can walk among them. In the visitor center, you'll learn facts about the Patagonian Penguins and their ecosystem. In addition to the penguins, this region features a variety of local wildlife such as guancanos, Patagonian marmos, rheas, and foxes, enabling you to distinguish between them. Following some free time for lunch, we will proceed to the northern coast of Isla Escondida, known for its population of elephant seals, the largest seal species, which can measure up to 5 meters and weigh 4 tonnes. After experiencing the area's biodiversity, we will return to your hotel in Puerto Madryn.
Important information
Penguins migrate to Punta Tombo from September to February for mating and egg-laying. However, animal sightings are unpredictable and not guaranteed during the season.
