If you are arriving in Puerto Madryn by cruise, our trip to Punta Tombo is ideal for you. This nature reserve is home to Argentina's largest colony of penguins and features stunning landscapes.

Punta Tombo Shore Excursion

We will pick you up at the port of Puerto Madryn and head to Punta Tombo (entrance not included). After approximately 100 miles, we will arrive at the natural reserve known for hosting Argentina's largest penguin colony.

Upon arrival, you will embark on a walk along the nature trail through the reserve. Here, you will see penguins wandering and caring for their chicks. It is important to remain quiet to avoid disturbing the sleeping penguins.

We will stop at a panoramic viewpoint where you can watch penguins jumping in and out of the ocean. Throughout the tour, you will learn about these fascinating creatures. During summer, over a million penguins visit these shores.

In addition to penguins, you will observe native wildlife including Guanacos, Piche 'dwarf' armadillos, and foxes.

After the walk, you will have free time for lunch at a roadside inn (not included). We will then return to Puerto Madryn, arriving back at the port in time for your cruise ship.
