If you are arriving in Puerto Madryn by cruise, our specially designed trip to Punta Tombo offers a perfect opportunity to explore Argentina's largest colony of penguins and beautiful landscapes.
Punta Tombo Shore Excursion
We will pick you up at the port of Puerto Madryn and journey approximately 100 miles to Punta Tombo (entrance fee not included). Upon arrival at the nature reserve, we will begin an enjoyable walk along the nature trail, where you will see penguins in their natural habitat, including their chicks. Maintaining silence is essential to avoid disturbing resting penguins.
We will stop at a panoramic viewpoint to observe penguins interacting with the ocean. Throughout the tour, you'll gain insights into the lifestyle of these creatures, especially during the summer months when over a million penguins populate the area.
Aside from penguins, expect to see native wildlife such as Guanacos, Piche 'dwarf' armadillos, and foxes.
Following our walk, we will visit a roadside inn for lunch during your free time (not included). After lunch, we will begin our return journey, arriving back at the port in time for you to board your cruise ship.
Road conditions
The trip's feasibility depends on road conditions. If access to the reserve is compromised, you can opt to change the date or receive a refund.
