Encounter the fascinating Patagonian dolphin and meet lovely penguins and other birds native to the Punta Tombo Nature Reserve, when you take our amazing trip from Puerto Madryn.

Punta Tombo Trip + Dolphin Spotting

At the indicated time, we will collect you from your hotel in Puerto Madryn and head south towards the port of Rawson.

At the port, a boat will be waiting to take you out into open seas to discover the Patagonian dolphins. For approximately an hour and a half, we will drift along the Atlantic Ocean and watch these mammals perform acrobatic leaps.

We will return to dry land and continue our journey south for around 65 miles until we reach the Punta Tombo Natural Reserve. This location is home to the largest continental colony of Magellanic penguins in the world.

The tour of the reserve begins at the Interpretation Center, where you will learn facts about the penguins. In summer, the colony can exceed one million individuals.

Later, we will explore the 2 miles of wooden walkways along the coastline, where you will encounter many penguins and other bird species and spot their nests.

After the tour, we will return to the vehicle and take you back to your hotel in Puerto Madryn, completing a total duration of 10 hours.
