Punta Tombo Exploration + Dolphin Observation

At the scheduled time, we'll pick you up from your accommodation in Puerto Madryn and make our way southward towards the port of Rawson.

Upon arrival at the port, you will board a vessel ready to set sail into the open waters to discover the intriguing Patagonian dolphins. For about an hour and a half, we will navigate the Atlantic Ocean, delighting in the sight of these remarkable mammals as they perform their mesmerizing leaps.

Once we return to shore, our adventure continues southward for approximately 65 miles until we reach the Punta Tombo Natural Reserve. This picturesque site houses the largest continental colony of Magellanic penguins globally.

Your exploration of the reserve will commence at the Interpretation Center, where a wealth of captivating information about the penguin population awaits. During the summer months, the colony can exceed a million individuals.

Subsequently, we will devote time to traversing the two miles of scenic wooden walkways that line the coast. Throughout this journey, you'll encounter numerous penguins and other avian species, while also spotting their nesting sites.

After our exploration concludes, we will head back to the vehicle for the return trip to your hotel in Puerto Madryn, making for a complete experience of approximately 10 hours.
