Join us on a day trip from Puerto Madryn to the Valdés Peninsula to spot various native animal species in Patagonia.

Day Trip Details

After pickup at your hotel in Puerto Madryn, we will proceed to the Valdes Peninsula nature conservation area. First, we will stop for the entrance fee to the reserve. Then, we will visit the Carlos Ameghino isthmus visitor center, where we will have a chance to observe local flora and fauna before heading to Puerto Pirámides. From June 15 to December 15, an optional boat trip for whale watching is available. Those who do not choose this option will have free time in Puerto Pirámides.

Next, we will visit Caleta Valdés, where up to three stops may be made, depending on the season. The first stop will be at the cove, then at Punta Cantor to observe elephant seals and sea lions. The third stop will be at the penguin colony from September to April for Magellanic penguins. Depending on weather conditions, killer whales may also be seen.

We will proceed to Punta Norte, where sightings from September to December will include elephant seals, and from December to May, sea lions. The tour concludes with lunch on your own before returning to Puerto Madryn, arriving approximately 10 hours after pickup.
