Join us on a day trip from Puerto Madryn along the Valdés Peninsula to spot various native species of animals in this area of Patagonia.

Day Trip Details

We will pick you up at your hotel in Puerto Madryn and head to the Valdes Peninsula nature conservation area.

After stopping to pay the entrance fee to the reserve, we will proceed to the Carlos Ameghino isthmus visitor center. Following this, we will reach the village of Puerto Pirámides, where from June 15 to December 15, you can opt for a boat trip to go whale watching. Those not taking the boat ride will have free time here. Next, we will visit Caleta Valdés and, depending on the season, make up to three stops. The first at the cove, then at Punta Cantor to see elephant seals and sea lions, and lastly at the penguin colony from September to April for Magellanic penguins. Observations of killer whales may also occur.

We will then proceed to Punta Norte, where we can see various wildlife and, from September to December, elephant seals, and from December to May, sea lions. Killer whales may also be seen if conditions permit.

You will have time for lunch before we return to Puerto Madryn, with scheduled arrival at your hotel 10 hours after pickup.
