Valdes Peninsula Shore Excursion
We will meet you at the port of Puerto Madryn upon your cruise ship's arrival, then head to the Valdes Peninsula (entry not included), a nature reserve outside the city.
The journey includes crossing the isthmus of Carlos Ameghino, connecting the peninsula to Chabut province. This wilderness area covers 1,400 square miles, hosting numerous animal species. At the Interpretation Center at the reserve's entrance, you can enjoy stunning views across the peninsula to both gulfs and Isla de Los Pájaros, home to various bird species.
Our next stop is Caleta Valdés bay, where you will see Elephant Seals and Sea Lions in their natural habitat. We will proceed to Punta Cantor for a closer encounter. A break will be provided for lunch (not included).
After lunch, we continue the tour, hoping to spot orcas hunting in groups.
The final stop is Puerto Pirámides, the only settlement on the peninsula, designated a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve. The area is home to a large sea lion colony.
In the afternoon, we return to Puerto Madryn for you to board your cruise ship.
