Embark on an unforgettable journey to observe the majestic southern right whales in the stunningly diverse Valdes Peninsula, a treasure trove of wildlife in Argentina.
Whale Watching Overview
Your adventure begins with a pickup from your hotel in Puerto Madryn, followed by a scenic drive to the El Doradillo Protected Natural Area, located merely 30 minutes away. Here, you will witness whales swimming remarkably close to shore, often within a mere 25 meters.
Subsequently, we will head to the Istmo Carlos Ameghino Centre, where you can dive into the fascinating characteristics of the local ecosystem. Our route continues to the charming villa of Puerto Pirámides. Provided that weather conditions are favorable, you will have the chance to spot whales, cormorants, and sea lions in their natural habitat. At Puerto Pirámides, you also have the option to join a 90-minute submersible boat trip, providing an up-close view of these magnificent whales.
Your boat journey will conclude at the Puerto Pirámides dock, allowing you some leisure time to enjoy lunch before we return you to your hotel in Puerto Madryn.
Day Trip Choices
When you book your experience, you can select from three different day trip options. Note that these choices correspond to the seasonal reproductive cycle of the whales.
