Chiloé Day Trip: Quemchi, Dalcahue & Castro

We'll pick you up from your downtown Puerto Montt hotel. Enjoy a scenic hour-long drive to Pargua. At the port, board a ferry to sail across the Chacao Channel. During the crossing, observe sea lions, pelicans, and other marine fauna of the Los Lagos region. After about 30 minutes, arrive at the port of Chacao for a brief stroll through town, highlighting its church and main square.

Next, welcome to Quemchi, known for its beach, the Costanera. We’ll cross a 430-meter (1,410-foot) bridge to reach Aucar, the "Island of the Sailing Souls." Continue to Dalcahue for a visit to its handicraft market and the church of Nuestra Señora De Los Dolores, a World Heritage Site.

The last stop is Castro, the island's capital, known for its brightly colored houses. Visit the San Francisco church and its handicraft market. Finally, return to Puerto Montt, scheduled for arrival 12 hours after pickup.
