Chiloé Day Trip: Quemchi, Dalcahue & Castro

We'll pick you up from your downtown Puerto Montt hotel. From there, we'll enjoy a scenic hour-long drive to the town of Pargua. Once we arrive at the port, we'll board a ferry and set sail across the Chacao Channel. Prepare to discover the charms of Chiloé Island!

During the crossing, we'll observe sea lions, pelicans, and other marine fauna typical of the Los Lagos region. After about 30 minutes, we'll arrive at the port of Chacao and take a brief stroll to admire the church and main square before continuing our tour.

Welcome to Quemchi, known for its beach, the Costanera, named the "Commune of 1000 Landscapes" by renowned writer Francisco Coloane. Next, we’ll cross a 430-meter (1,410-foot) bridge to Aucar, the “Island of the Sailing Souls.”

We'll then head to Dalcahue, where we'll visit the handicraft market and the church of Nuestra Señora De Los Dolores, part of the World Heritage Site.

Our last stop will be in Castro, the capital of Chiloé, known for its brightly painted houses. We will visit the San Francisco church and its handicraft market before we return to Puerto Montt, scheduled for 12 hours after pickup.
