Chiloé Day Trip: Quemchi, Dalcahue & Castro

We'll pick you up from your downtown Puerto Montt hotel for a scenic hour-long drive to Pargua. Upon arrival at the port, we'll board a ferry to cross the Chacao Channel, observing sea lions, pelicans, and other marine fauna during the 30-minute trip. Once we reach Chacao, we'll take a brief stroll through town, noting its church and main square.

Our next destination is Quemchi, known as the "Commune of 1000 Landscapes." From there, we’ll cross a 430-meter (1,410-foot) bridge to Aucar, the “Island of the Sailing Souls.”

Continuing to Dalcahue, we'll visit its handicraft market and the church of Nuestra Señora De Los Dolores, a World Heritage Site. The last stop is Castro, the island's capital, where we'll explore its brightly colored houses, the San Francisco church, and the handicraft market.

We will return to Puerto Montt, with arrival scheduled for 12 hours after pickup.
