Hiking in the Alerce Andino National Park
Pickup will be at your hotel in Puerto Montt at 9:30 am, followed by travel south to Alerce Andino National Park.
Upon arrival, we will start a hiking adventure through the park, a protected area known for its charm. While hiking, you will listen to endemic birds and see various botanical species, including hazelnut trees, myrtles, coihues, and ulmos, learning to identify them.
The trail is approximately 4 kilometers long, providing views of natural landscapes along the river. The tour includes a visit to the Saltos del Chaica, where you will have an hour of free time to swim and enjoy a picnic.
Afterwards, we will ascend the final 100 meters to see a thousand-year-old larch tree that stands at 75 meters high, before returning to the starting point of the hike.
We will conclude the activity and return to the minibus for drop-off at your hotel in Puerto Montt by 4 pm.
