Hiking in the Alerce Andino National Park

Pickup from your hotel in Puerto Montt is at 9:30 am, followed by travel south to the Alerce Andino National Park.

Upon arrival, participants will begin a hiking adventure through the park, a protected natural area known for its attractiveness.

During the hike, attendees will listen to the sounds of the endemic birds and encounter various botanical species, including hazelnut trees, myrtles, coihues, and ulmos. Education on distinguishing these species will be provided.

The trail spans approximately 4 kilometers and showcases stunning landscapes along the river. The hike includes a visit to the Saltos del Chaica, notable waterfalls with a loud roar. Participants will have an hour of free time for swimming and enjoying a picnic.

Afterward, a short ascent of 100 meters leads to a thousand-year-old larch tree, standing at 75 meters high. The group will then return to the starting point of the hike.

The minibus will head back to Puerto Montt, concluding the activity at 4:00 pm, with drop-off at the hotel.
