Lake Llanquihue Villages Tour

At 8:30 am, pick-up will be from your hotel in central Puerto Montt, proceeding to Lake Llanquihue to explore the lakeside villages.

The first stop will be the municipality of Llanquihue, known for its cured meats and as the source of the Maullín River. The name derives from the Mapuche language, meaning 'the place where one dives into water.'

Next, we will visit Frutillar, a village with Bavarian origins characterized by traditional wooden houses and gardens, along with German breweries. Visitors can also admire the Teatro del Lago theatre and may choose to visit the German Colonial Museum to learn about the area's first German settlers.

We will then explore Puerto Octay, located on the northern banks, which showcases traditional German architecture. Here, we will examine its economic history as the first port to export agricultural products to Osorno.

We will begin our return journey to Puerto Montt, expected to arrive around 2 pm.
