Lake Llanquihue Villages Tour

At 8:30 am, hotel pickup will occur in central Puerto Montt, followed by a journey to Lake Llanquihue to explore its shore villages.

The first stop is the municipality of Llanquihue, known for its cured meats and the Maullín River. The municipality's name, derived from the Mapuche language, translates to 'the place where one dives into water'.

Next, we'll visit Frutillar, a village with Bavarian influences evident in its traditional wooden houses and gardens. Attractions include German breweries and the Avant-garde Teatro del Lago theatre. An optional visit to the German Colonial Museum is available for insights into the area's early settlers.

We'll also stop in Puerto Octay, which features notable German architecture. Here, we'll discuss its economic history as it was the first port to export agricultural products to Osorno.

The return journey to Puerto Montt will commence, with an estimated arrival at around 2 pm.
