Lake Llanquihue Villages Tour

At 8:30 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in central Puerto Montt and set off for Lake Llanquihue to explore the villages located on its shores.

The first stop will be the municipality of Llanquihue, famous for its cured meats and as the source of the Maullín River. The name comes from the Mapuche language, meaning 'the place where one dives into water.'

Next, we'll continue to Frutillar, a village with Bavarian origins. We'll wander its streets filled with traditional wooden houses and gardens, and observe its unique German breweries. You can visit the German Colonial Museum to learn about the area's first Teutonic settlers.

We'll also visit Puerto Octay, located on the northern banks, known for its traditional German architecture. We'll explore its squares and delve into its economic history as the first port to export agricultural products to Osorno.

We will then return to Puerto Montt, arriving around 2 pm.
