Mocagua Monkey Sanctuary Trip
Pickup from your hotel in Puerto Nariño is at 9 am. The trip begins with a sail down the Amazon onboard a boat, where you can admire the region's flora and fauna. If fortunate, you may encounter freshwater dolphins.
Upon reaching the mainland, a visit to the indigenous community of Mocagua follows, where you will learn about their lifestyle in the jungle. Continuing your journey, you will head into the rainforest and arrive at the monkey sanctuary.
You will spend time getting to know different species of primates and learn about the work of the association dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating these animals for release into their natural habitat.
The tour concludes with a return to the community for a traditional meal, providing a cultural culinary experience. Afterward, you will board the boat again to return to Puerto Nariño, arriving at 5 pm.
