Discover the famous wetlands of the Amazon River with a fantastic boat ride on the Tarapoto lakes. You'll sail over a mile to the stunning Ramsar biosphere reserve where you'll see all kinds of colorful fauna and flora!

Tarapoto Lakes Boat Trip

At the scheduled time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Puerto Nariño to start a boat trip that will take us through the picturesque lakes of Tarapoto. Prepare for an unforgettable experience in the Amazon.

We'll start by sailing just over a mile down the Loretoyacu River to the Tarapoto wetlands system. This area is a biosphere reserve and is home to river dolphins, crocodiles, and anacondas. If we're lucky, we may see some of these creatures along the way.

Upon reaching the Ramsar reserve, we'll follow one of the tributaries of the Amazon River into the flooded forest. From there, we'll drift into the main lake and stop on its shores to enjoy a snack and take a dip in its waters.

After a 4-hour boat ride, we'll return to Puerto Nariño where we'll drop you off at the dock.
