Tarapoto Lakes Boat Trip
At the scheduled time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Puerto Nariño to begin a boat trip through the picturesque lakes of Tarapoto.
We'll start by sailing just over a mile down the Loretoyacu River to the Tarapoto wetlands system. This area is a biosphere reserve and home to river dolphins, crocodiles, and anacondas. We may see some of these species along the way.
Upon reaching the Ramsar reserve, we'll follow a tributary of the Amazon River into the flooded forest. We will then drift into the main lake and stop at its shores for a snack and a refreshing dip in the waters.
After a 4-hour boat ride, we'll return to Puerto Nariño to drop you off at the dock.
