Boat Journey through Tarapoto Lakes
At the designated time, we will collect you from your accommodation in Puerto Nariño, initiating an unforgettable boat excursion through the scenic lakes of Tarapoto. Prepare yourself for an Amazonian experience that will leave a lasting impression!
Our expedition begins with a journey of over a mile along the Loretoyacu River, heading towards the Tarapoto wetland system. This stunning environment is recognized as a biosphere reserve and serves as a habitat for river dolphins, crocodiles, and anacondas. With some luck, we might encounter these fascinating animals during our exploration.
Upon arriving at the Ramsar reserve, we’ll navigate along one of the Amazon River's tributaries into the enchanting flooded forest. Subsequently, we’ll gently float into the main lake, where we will pause on the banks to savor a delightful snack and enjoy a refreshing swim in its inviting waters.
Concluding our 4-hour boat expedition, we will make our way back to Puerto Nariño and drop you off at the dock.
