Discover the famous wetlands of the Amazon River with a boat ride on the Tarapoto lakes. You'll sail over a mile to the Ramsar biosphere reserve, observing a variety of fauna and flora.

Tarapoto Lakes Boat Trip

At the scheduled time, we will pick you up from your hotel in Puerto Nariño for a boat trip through the picturesque lakes of Tarapoto.

We will begin by sailing just over a mile down the Loretoyacu River to the Tarapoto wetlands system. This area is a biosphere reserve, home to river dolphins, crocodiles, and anacondas. If we're fortunate, we may see some of these creatures during our trip.

Upon reaching the Ramsar reserve, we will navigate one of the Amazon River's tributaries into the flooded forest. We will then drift into the main lake and stop at its shores to enjoy a snack and take a refreshing dip in its waters.

After a 4-hour boat ride, we will return to Puerto Nariño and drop you off at the dock.
