Get to know the essence of Dominican culture on this tour of Puerto Plata that will introduce you to the local customs, traditions and typical Caribbean gastronomy.

Dominican Culture Tour

Between 8 and 9 am, we will pick you up at your hotel in a tourist truck with open-air seats to explore the Bay of Maimon on the northern coast. This tour aims to reveal the country's customs and traditions.

During the journey, you will observe the different ecosystems of the Bay of Maimon and impressive views of Puerto Plata from over 330 feet (100 meters) above sea level.

We will meet members of a Dominican family who will share their customs and offer various typical products such as local fruits, coffee and cocoa.

The next stop is Playa de Guzmancito, a beach suitable for water sports. Here, you will have free time to swim, go horseback riding, or try snorkeling.

A buffet lunch featuring local specialties and Caribbean products will be served at a traditional ranch. Following lunch, we will visit several nearby Dominican towns.

Then, we will tour a tobacco plantation to learn about the handmade production of the famous Dominican cigars, an important export product.

We will return to your hotel in Puerto Plata by 5 pm.
