Get to know the essence of Dominican culture on this tour of Puerto Plata that will introduce you to the local customs, traditions and typical Caribbean gastronomy.

Dominican Culture Tour

Between 8 and 9 am, we'll pick you up at your hotel and begin the tour in a tourist truck with open-air seats, exploring the Bay of Maimon on the northern coast of the Dominican Republic to experience the country's customs and traditions.

During the trip, you'll observe the various ecosystems of the Bay of Maimon and enjoy views of Puerto Plata from over 330 feet (100 meters) above sea level.

We'll meet a Dominican family who will share their customs and offer a selection of typical products such as local fruits, coffee and cocoa.

Afterward, we'll visit Playa de Guzmancito, where you will have free time for swimming, horseback riding, or snorkeling.

Lunch will be at a traditional ranch featuring a buffet of local specialties and Caribbean products. Following lunch, we will drive through several Dominican towns.

Next, we'll visit a tobacco plantation to see how Dominican cigars are handmade, a key export of the country.

We will return to your hotel in Puerto Plata by 5 pm.
