Dominican Culture Tour

Between 8 and 9 am, we will pick you up at your hotel and embark in a tourist truck with open-air seats to explore the Bay of Maimon on the northern coast of the Dominican Republic, focusing on the country’s deeply rooted customs and traditions. Throughout the trip, you will gain insight into the various ecosystems of the bay and enjoy views of Puerto Plata from over 330 feet (100 meters) above sea level.

As we continue, we will visit a Dominican family who will demonstrate their home customs while offering a selection of typical products like local fruits, coffee, and cocoa.

Next, we will proceed to Playa de Guzmancito, a beach suitable for water sports, where you'll have free time for a dip, horseback riding, or snorkeling. Following this, a buffet lunch featuring various local specialties will be served at a traditional ranch. After lunch, we will drive through several nearby Dominican towns.

We will then visit a tobacco plantation to observe the handmade production of renowned Dominican cigars, a significant export of the country.

Finally, we will return you to your hotel in Puerto Plata by 5 pm.
