Day Trip Details

Guests will be picked up from their hotels in Puerto Plata and transported by minibus 20 km south to the Damajagua area, known for the 27 charcos. This region features numerous natural pools and waterfalls formed in limestone caves, where visitors can swim, jump, and slide down natural slides. Participants will explore notable pools including "La Tinajita" and "La Virgen" waterfall, the latter linked to Taino legends. After the pool experience, a buffet lunch will be served before heading to the Imbert Falls, with a stop at a local plantation to learn about regional cuisine. The tour concludes with a visit to a petrified woodcraft shop before returning to hotels in Puerto Plata after a seven-hour excursion.
