On this cycling tour around Puerto Plata, we'll explore the historic centre and visit the Amber Museum and San Felipe Fortress.

Description

We'll meet at the scheduled time in front of the CESEP headquarters to begin our cycling tour of Puerto Plata. Firstly, we'll pedal along the shaded streets, enjoying coffee made from beans grown in the Yaroa highlands.

Once we're on our bikes again, we'll make our way to Parque Independencia, passing down Callejón Rosado, surrounded by Victorian-style houses, reaching San Felipe Cathedral.

In the Puerto Plata Amber Museum, we will learn about Dominican amber, known for being the best in the world and a filming location for Jurassic Park.

We'll then continue towards the fire station and Murales y Chichiguas Street, which refers to paper kites, showcasing vibrant colours.

The next stop will be Puerto Plata Cigar, where we will discuss the importance of Dominican tobacco and coffee. Finally, we'll cycle along the Malecon, experiencing views of the Atlantic, reaching Puntilla de Puerto Plata to visit San Felipe Fortress for an hour.

After 3 hours together, we'll conclude this cycling tour of Puerto Plata by returning to the starting point.
