On this excursion from Puerto Vallarta, we'll visit two Magical Towns in the state of Jalisco in one day: Mascota and Talpa de Allende.

Mascota & Talpa de Allende Excursion

At 7:30 am, we will pick you up from your hotel in Puerto Vallarta and head east to visit the towns of Mascota and Talpa de Allende. Before arriving at our first destination, we will stop in the small town of La Estancia for a typical Mexican breakfast.

In Mascota, we will explore the historic center, observing its colonial architecture and learning about its history. Notable sites include the church of Nuestra Señora de Los Dolores, the Municipal Palace, and the unfinished church of the Precious Blood, along with its connection to the Mexican Revolution.

The final stop will be in Talpa de Allende, where you will have 1 hour and 20 minutes of free time for lunch at a local restaurant. Following lunch, we will take a guided tour of this Magic Town.

During the tour, we will visit the Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary of Talpa, a pilgrimage site with over three million visitors annually. You will learn about the history of this building, which dates back to 1782, and discover its Gothic and Churrigueresque styles.

To conclude the excursion, we will return to the minibus and drop you off at your hotel at approximately 8:30 pm.
