Chiloé Island Day Trip: Chacao, Castro y Dalcahue
We'll pick you up from your hotel in Puerto Varas at 8 am and head to the port to start a cruise along the Chacao Canal. This area in Chile has the greatest variety of birds. See how many you can spot on the journey!
After sailing for 30 minutes, we'll anchor at the port of Chacao on Chiloé Island. You'll see the picturesque church and the main square. We will also discover the town of Castro with its colorful houses.
After lunch in Castro (approximately one hour), we will visit the Gamboa River Palafitos Stilt Houses, known for their originality and charm as they sit above the water.
Next, we will visit the Church of Nercón, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Our last stop will be in Dalcahue to visit the craft market and the Ethnographic Historic Museum (entrance not included).
