Chiloé Island Day Trip: Chacao, Castro y Dalcahue

Pickup is at your hotel in Puerto Varas at 8 am, followed by a cruise along the Chacao Canal. This region has a great variety of birds, so keep an eye out during the journey.

After a 30-minute sail, we will reach the port of Chacao on Chiloé Island, where you can visit the local church and main square. Next, we’ll explore Castro and its colorful houses.

You will have approximately one hour for lunch in Castro. Afterward, we will visit the Gamboa River Palafitos Stilt Houses known for their unique design above the water.

Next, we will see the Church of Nercón, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Our final stop will be in Dalcahue where we will visit the craft market and the Ethnographic Historic Museum (entrance not included).

We will return to Puerto Varas and drop you back at your hotel around 7 pm.
