Tour of Carretera Austral Villages

Admire the incredible landscapes of the Chilean Patagonia on this tour through the villages of the Carretera Austral. We'll travel along the most famous road in the country visiting some of its main villages, such as Pichicolo or Hornopirén.

Tour of Carretera Austral Villages

Between 7:30 and 8 am, we'll pick you up at your hotel and drive to the village of Caleta La Arena. From there, we'll board a ferry boat across the Reloncaví estuary towards the Carretera Austral.

After a 35-minute crossing, we'll disembark at Caleta Puelche and begin our journey along the Carretera Austral, a crucial 745.5-mile (1,200-km) highway connecting this town with Villa O'Higgins. The route features ancient larch forests, volcanoes, glaciers, and fjords.

During the excursion, we'll drive the initial stretch of the road, visit villages, and admire the flora and fauna of the region. The tour will include bus rides and short hikes for an in-depth exploration of Chilean Patagonia.

We will also visit villages like Caleta Pichicolo and Hornopirén, enjoying natural attractions such as the Rio Negro waterfalls and a stratovolcano of 5,157.5 ft (1,572 meters).

After reaching Hornopirén, we'll return and drop you off at your hotel around 7 pm.
