Hiking + Caving in Los Gigantes

Upon reservation, you can choose between one of the following itineraries, which differ based on trail length and activity location. Meet at the scheduled time on the RP28 Route of Los Gigantes.

Hiking and Caving in the La Bestia River

This option involves a total hike of 12 kilometers (7.5 miles), with a medium-high difficulty, lasting approximately 9 hours and reaching an altitude of 1600 meters (5,250 feet). The route includes stops for rest, views of Cordoba, and a picnic lunch.

The hike includes the Batán ravine and leads into the underground river La Bestia, where participants descend 72 meters (236 feet) and navigate waterfalls, narrow passages, and five large chambers. Additionally, participants will swim through a 35-meter-long section (114 feet) with walls about 60 centimeters (2 feet) wide.

Hiking and Caving in the Toro Gorge

This itinerary consists of a 14-kilometer (8.7-mile) hike, also with medium-high difficulty, reaching a maximum altitude of 2100 meters (6,900 feet) and taking between 8 and 9 hours. It includes breaks for rest and scenery.

The trail features the eastern slope of the Toro ravine and leads to a cave with an underground waterfall of El Toro. Participants will descend to a depth of 40 meters (131 feet) over a distance of 120 meters (400 feet), viewing the second-largest underground waterfall in the world.

After the adventure, return to the meeting point.
