On this advanced-level hike along trail 16 in the Valle de los Lisos, participants will experience unique natural scenery in Cordoba while engaging in canyoning.
Valle de los Lisos Hiking and Canyoning
Participants will meet at 8 am at route RP28 in Los Gigantes for a brief technical talk and material gathering.
The hike will cover a distance between 19 and 21 kilometers (12-13 miles) and is classified as medium-high difficulty, expected to take around 8 hours. The trail will involve ascending peaks reaching 2100 meters (6,900 feet) above sea level.
The route traverses a rugged area of the Valle de los Lisos Reserve in the Los Gigantes mountain range in Córdoba, Argentina. Participants will take breaks to rest, enjoy views, and consume a picnic lunch.
Following trail 16, the hike leads to the Truchas waterfall, where a refreshing dip is possible before the canyoning adventure. Participants will wear wetsuits and life jackets to navigate several rivers between narrow rock walls, testing agility and skill.
The day concludes around 6 pm back at the meeting point.
