Chucuito, Aramu Muru & Juli Day Trip

At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Puno and begin an excursion to Chucuito, Aramu Muru, and Juli, towns known for their history.

Our first stop will be in Chucuito, situated on a hill overlooking Lake Titicaca. Here, we'll visit significant sites, including the Temple of Fertility.

Next, we will proceed to the Chullpas de Molloco, where these ancient pre-Columbian constructions can be observed. We will discuss their purpose and unique rounded shape.

We will then visit some Andean waru waru, which are floodable furrows that create a microclimate for crop growth.

The tour will continue to Aramu Muru, known as the Gate of the Gods, a site linked to ancient legends about deities and stone portals.

Our final stop will be in Juli, called the 'Rome of Latin America' due to its churches, including St. Peter's, St. John Lateran, and St. Dominic, along with notable Cusquenian art.

Afterward, we will have a chance for lunch at your leisure at a local restaurant. We will return to your hotel in Puno, arriving nine hours after departure.
