Colca Canyon 2-Day Tour

Day 1: Puno - Chivay

Pick up at your hotel in Puno between 6:15 and 6:30 am to travel to Chivay, approximately 300 kilometers (186 miles) away. The journey includes views of the altiplano, wetlands, lagoons, streams, and wildlife such as vicuñas, llamas, alpacas, flamingos, and guallatas.

Continue to Patahuasi, entering the Colca Canyon. A stop will be made at the volcanoes viewpoint at 4,910 meters (just over 16,100 feet). Arrival at a hotel in Chivay is expected between 1 and 1:30 pm for lunch and dinner on your own. Free time after lunch allows for visiting Chivay or enjoying thermal baths.

Day 2: Chivay - Cruz del Condor - Chivay - Arequipa

Breakfast at the hotel followed by a visit to Cruz del Condor, where you will have two hours to enjoy the views and possibly see condors. Return by bus to Chivay through Andean towns such as Pinchollo, Maca, and Yanque, and cross terraces and archaeological sites.

Upon arrival in Chivay, one hour is allotted for lunch. Departure for Arequipa is around 1 pm, with an expected arrival between 4:30 and 5 pm.

This tour includes one night of accommodation with breakfast in Chivay. You can choose from:

Hotel Pickup

The tour includes pickup from hotels in the center of Puno. If staying outside, you must make your way to Calle Jiron Arequipa, near Plaza de Armas. Note that pickup is not available from specific hotels listed.
