Copacabana & Island of the Sun Trip

Embark on a journey across the border from Peru to Bolivia and experience a scenic boat ride on Lake Titicaca with a visit to the picturesque town of Copacabana and the illustrious Island of the Sun.

Tour Overview



Your adventure begins with a pickup from your hotel in Puno at the arranged time, followed by a comfortable bus ride to the delightful Bolivian city of Copacabana.



Upon crossing the border, we will arrive at our destination around 11 am. Once there, a walking tour awaits where we will admire the stunning facade of the Basilica of the Virgin of Candelaria, a significant structure from the 17th century, and uncover the reasons this city holds such religious importance for many pilgrims.



After the tour, we will pause for a meal consisting of a chicken or trout dish along with a beverage. Following our break, we will proceed to the port, where a boat will be ready to take us to the nearby Island of the Sun. Throughout the boat ride, you can soak in the breathtaking vistas of Lake Titicaca!



Upon our arrival, a guided tour lasting approximately two hours will commence. During this time, we will discover the fascinating fountain of eternal youth and delve into the rich history of Inca culture, while exploring ancient sanctuaries that date back thousands of years.



After exploring the Island of the Sun, we will return by boat to Copacabana. Here, we will switch to a bus for our trip back to Puno, expected to arrive around 8:30 pm.

Pickup Information



This experience includes pickup from hotels situated in downtown Puno. If your hotel is on the outskirts, please proceed to Calle Jirón Arequipa, which is conveniently located close to Plaza de Armas.



Be aware that pickup services are not available at the following places: GHL Lago Titicaca, Casa Andina Premium, Sonesta Posada, Lake Titicaka Hotel-Xima, Pacha Confort, Mirador del Titikaka, Hotel Wisny, Jose Antonio Hotel, Taypikala Hotel, Pumakala Hotel, Atoja Chucuito Hotel, and any lodging located on the Uros Islands.
