Day Trip to Sillustani

Discover a pre-Incan cemetery on a day trip to Sillustani from Puno.

Tour Details

After hotel pickup, we’ll travel northeast for approximately 45 minutes to the archaeological site of Sillustani, situated by Lake Umayo at an altitude of 13,123 feet (4,000 meters). Here, visitors can view the chullpas, tombs resembling tower structures that challenge gravitational norms.

While exploring Sillustani, participants will learn about the ancient Colla culture and their funeral rituals, as well as appreciate the sacred Lake Umayo, significant to local cultures.

Post-exploration, we will return to your hotel in Puno, with the entire tour lasting around three and a half hours.

This tour includes pickup from central Puno hotels. If your accommodation is outside this area, proceed to Jiron Arequipa Street, near Plaza de Armas.
