Day Trip to Sillustani

Discover a pre-Incan cemetery and learn about Peru’s ancient cultures on this day trip to Sillustani from Puno.

Tour Details

After pickup from your hotel at the designated time, we’ll travel northeast for approximately 45 minutes to the archaeological site of Sillustani, located on the shores of Lake Umayo at an elevation of 13,123 feet (4,000 meters). Here, you will observe the chullpas, which are above-ground tombs in tower-like structures, characterized by a greater diameter at the top than at the bottom.

During your visit to Sillustani, you will learn about the ancient Colla culture and their funeral rituals. You will also have the opportunity to admire Lake Umayo, which is considered sacred by local cultures.

After exploring Sillustani, we will return to your hotel in Puno, with a total tour duration of approximately three and a half hours.

Hotel Pickup

This tour includes pickup from hotels in central Puno. If you are staying outside this area, you must go to Jiron Arequipa Street, near the Plaza de Armas.
