La Paz & Uyuni Salt Flat 3 Day Trip

On this 3-day excursion to La Paz and the Uyuni Salt Flat from Puno, we will explore two significant destinations in Bolivia.

La Paz & Uyuni Salt Flat 3-Day Trip

Day 1: Puno - La Paz

At 9 am, we will pick you up from your hotel in Puno and cross the border into Bolivia, stopping for lunch at your leisure en route to La Paz.

We will arrive in La Paz around 3 pm and visit the cable car system, before taking a brief guided tour of the colonial quarter, including the Church of San Francisco and Murillo Square, which features the Cathedral of Our Lady of La Paz and the Legislative and Government Palace.

You will have free time for dinner before departing for Uyuni at 8 pm.

Day 2: Uyuni Salt Flat - La Paz

We will arrive in Uyuni early and head to a local restaurant for breakfast on your own. A jeep will take us to the Uyuni Salt Flat, with a stop at the Uyuni Train Cemetery.

In Colchani, we will observe the salt extraction process and visit the Playa Blanca hotel. A regional lunch will be served before heading to Incahuasi Island to see the cacti. You will have time for photos at the salt flat before returning to Uyuni for dinner and free time. We will gather at 8 pm for the bus back to La Paz.

Day 3: La Paz - Pomata - Juli - Puno

Arriving in La Paz at 5 am, we will take a bus to Desaguadero to cross the border. After breakfast on your own, we will visit the colonial Santiago Apostol Church in Pomata.

Next, we will go to Juli, known as Little Rome, and visit either the church of San Juan de Letrán or Our Lady of the Assumption. After these visits, we will return to Puno and drop you off at your hotel around 1 pm.

Overnight Bus

This tour does not include accommodation, but the return bus journey between La Paz and Uyuni occurs overnight, allowing you to sleep on the bus.
