La Paz & Uyuni Salt Flat 3 Day Trip

On this 3-day excursion to La Paz and the Uyuni Salt Flat from Puno, we will explore two major attractions in Bolivia.

La Paz & Uyuni Salt Flat 3-Day Trip

Day 1: Puno - La Paz

We will pick you up from your hotel in Puno at 9 am and cross the border into Bolivia, stopping for lunch at your leisure on the way to La Paz. We will arrive around 3 pm, visiting the city's cable car and taking a brief guided tour of the colonial quarter, including the Church of San Francisco and Murillo Square with the Cathedral of Our Lady of La Paz and the Government Palace. After free time for dinner, we will take a bus to Uyuni at 8 pm.

Day 2: Uyuni Salt Flat - La Paz

Early morning arrival in Uyuni for breakfast at a local restaurant. We will take a jeep to the Uyuni Salt Flat, stopping at the Uyuni Train Cemetery. In the town of Colchani, we will learn about salt extraction and visit the Playa Blanca hotel. A traditional regional lunch will precede our journey to Incahuasi Island in the salt flat. After free time for photos, we will return to Uyuni for more free time before regrouping at 8 pm to take the bus back to La Paz.

Day 3: La Paz - Pomata - Juli - Puno

We will arrive in La Paz at 5 am and take a bus to Desaguadero to cross the border. After breakfast, we will visit Pomata to see the colonial Santiago Apostol Church and then proceed to Juli to visit the church of San Juan de Letrán or Our Lady of the Assumption. After these visits, we will return to Puno and drop you off at your hotel around 1 pm.

Overnight Bus

This tour does not include accommodation; the return bus journey between La Paz and Uyuni occurs at night while you sleep on the overnight bus.
