Description

It's said that at least once in your life you have to do the famous Ruta del Sol through the south of Peru. Everyone who makes this journey ends up being captivated by the history, landscapes, and cuisine of the Andes. To see for yourself whether this is true or not, we'll meet you at the designated time at Avenida Costanera with Jr. Lampa. From here, we'll head to the town of Pukara.

What is the legacy of the ancient Andean people? We'll begin exploring this fascinating culture by visiting the Pukara interpretation center. This place is home to the famous Pukara bulls, clay figures painted in different colors that are a symbol of protection, prosperity, and fertility in southern Peru.

From Pukara, we'll continue towards La Raya pass, where we'll make a brief stop to take pictures of this breathtaking mountain pass located more than 4300 meters above sea level.

Once we have taken the necessary photos in La Raya, we'll go to a local restaurant to recharge our batteries with a delicious buffet lunch. After lunch, we'll go to the famous archaeological site of Raqchi. Here we'll see the remains of the ancient temple of the God Wiracocha, a deity whose veneration in pre-Hispanic times is shrouded in legends and mysteries.

After the guided tour through the archaeological park of Raqchi, we'll go to the village of Andahuaylillas, where we'll visit the church of San Pedro Apóstol: the "Sistine Chapel of America". Does this statement seem exaggerated to you? Wait until you see the interior of this majestic temple!

We'll finish the Ruta del Sol in Cusco. We'll arrive at this legendary Peruvian city at 5 pm, back at the meeting point.
