Description
The famous Ruta del Sol through southern Peru is recommended for everyone at least once in their life. Participants will meet at Avenida Costanera with Jr. Lampa and head to the town of Pukara.
The exploration begins at the Pukara interpretation center, known for the Pukara bulls, clay figures symbolizing protection, prosperity, and fertility.
Next, the tour proceeds to La Raya pass for a short photo opportunity at over 4300 meters above sea level.
After taking photos, a local restaurant will provide a buffet lunch. Following lunch, the group will visit the archaeological site of Raqchi, featuring the remains of the ancient temple of the God Wiracocha.
The final stop is in the village of Andahuaylillas, home to the church of San Pedro Apóstol, known as the "Sistine Chapel of America." Participants will conclude the tour in Cusco, arriving at approximately 5 pm back at the meeting point.
