Titicaca Lake & Isla del Sol Catamaran Tour
After pickup at your hotel in Puno, we will travel south to cross into Bolivia to reach Copacabana. Before departing for Isla del Sol, we will visit the Copacabana Sanctuary. At the port of Copacabana, we will board a catamaran for Lake Titicaca, where snacks will be provided on board.
We will disembark in Yumani at the southern tip of Isla del Sol to explore the area recognized as the cradle of the gods of the Inca Empire. The tour will include visits to archaeological remains, including the Inca Garden terraces, and a hike up the Inca Staircase to the Sacred Fountain, known for its supposed healing properties.
The next stop is the Inti Wata Complex, Bolivia's main private tourist attraction, accessible only to Isla del Sol visitors via catamaran. Here, we will find the Ekako underground museum, centers for traditional medicine and raft construction, a handicraft center, and a botanical garden.
After exploring the Inca legends, we will return to Yumani for the catamaran ride back to Copacabana, where a buffet lunch will be served, including various dishes. The return to Puno will take 11 hours.
