Sail across the waters of Lake Titicaca and discover local traditions on the floating Uros Islands and Taquile Island.
Tour Details
After hotel pickup, we will proceed to the port in Puno where we will board a speedboat on Lake Titicaca, the world's highest navigable lake at 12,500 feet (3,810 meters) above sea level.
The first stop will be the Uros Islands, where we will explore one of the islands and meet the Uru people. They will share insights about their ancestors' pre-Inca culture. The islands are constructed from a plant called Totora.
Following this, we will sail to Taquile Island, the largest island on Lake Titicaca. Here, we will learn about the weaving techniques used by the island's inhabitants to create their famous textiles.
There will be an optional stop for a traditional lunch before concluding the tour. At the end, you will be returned to your hotel in Puno, after a total of 8 hours.

This tour includes pickup from hotels in central Puno. If you are staying elsewhere, please meet at the designated location on Jiron Arequipa Street, near the Plaza de Armas, at the scheduled time.
