Sail across the waters of Lake Titicaca and discover local traditions on the floating Uros Islands and Taquile Island.
Tour Details
After hotel pickup, we will go to the port in Puno to board a speedboat on Lake Titicaca, situated at 12,500 feet (3,810 meters) above sea level.
The first stop will be the floating Uros Islands. We will explore one of the main islands and meet the Uru people, learning about their pre-Inca culture and the construction of the islands using the Totora plant.
Next, we will sail to Taquile Island, the largest island on Lake Titicaca, enjoying views of the lake and mountains. Upon arrival, we will explore the island's culture, including its famous textile weaving techniques.
We will have the option of a traditional lunch before concluding our tour and returning to your hotel in Puno after a total of 8 hours.
