Trip to the Uros Islands & Taquile

Sail across the waters of Lake Titicaca and discover local traditions on the floating Uros Islands and Taquile Island.

Tour Details

We will pick you up from your hotel at the scheduled time and head to the port in Puno. Here, we will board a speedboat on Lake Titicaca, located at 12,500 feet (3,810 meters) above sea level.

The first stop will be the floating Uros Islands. We will explore one of the main islands and meet the Uru people, learning about their pre-Inca culture as we admire the artificial archipelago made from a plant called Totora.

Next, we will proceed to Taquile Island, enjoying views of the lake and mountains. In Taquile, we will discover local weaving techniques and famous textiles.

We will also make a stop for a traditional lunch (optional), before concluding our tour. You will be dropped back at your hotel in Puno after a total of 8 hours.

Hotel Pickup

This tour includes pickup from hotels in central Puno. If you're staying elsewhere, you will need to reach the meeting point at Jiron Arequipa Street, near the Plaza de Armas, at the scheduled time.

Pickup is not available from the following locations: GHL Lago Titicaca, Casa Andina Premium, Sonesta Posada, Lake Titikaka Hotel-Xima, Pacha Confort, Mirador del Titikaka, Hotel Wisny, Jose Antonio Hotel, Taypikala Hotel, Pumakala Hotel, Atoja Chucuito Hotel, and any hotels on the Uros Islands.
