Sail across the waters of Lake Titicaca and discover local traditions on the floating Uros Islands and Taquile Island.

Tour Details

This tour begins with a hotel pickup in Puno and a transfer to the port in Puno. We will board a speedboat on Lake Titicaca, the world's highest navigable lake at 12,500 feet (3,810 meters) above sea level.

The first destination is the renowned floating Uros Islands. Here, we will disembark and explore, meeting the Uru people and learning about their pre-Inca culture. The islands are constructed from a plant called Totora.

Continuing the tour, we will sail to Taquile Island, where we will explore local culture and the weaving techniques that produce their famous textiles.

A stop for a traditional lunch (optional) will be included before concluding the tour and returning to your hotel in Puno, with a total duration of 8 hours.

Hotel Pickup

This tour offers pickup from hotels in central Puno. For stays outside this area, guests must meet at Jiron Arequipa Street near Plaza de Armas. Pickup is not available from specific hotels, including GHL Lago Titicaca and any hotels on the Uros Islands.

Uros Island Tour

For those short on time, there is an option for the Uros Islands Tour, which includes a boat trip on Lake Titicaca and a visit to the Uros Islands only, excluding Taquile.
