Tour Overview

Your adventure begins with a prompt pickup from your hotel in Puno at the scheduled time. From there, we will head to the dock where the traditional boat awaits your arrival. Prepare to delve into the captivating Uros Islands!

Once aboard the reed boat, crafted by local indigenous communities, you'll learn about the construction of these unique vessels as we set sail across Lake Titicaca.

During the journey, spanning roughly an hour, you’ll have the opportunity to watch endemic bird species and take in the breathtaking scenery of this remarkable area, before we arrive at the Uros’ artificial islands, which are composed of the same materials as the boats!

Upon reaching our destination, a guided walking tour of the islands will reveal the rich lifestyle of the local inhabitants. You’ll gain insight into their traditions, admire their artisan crafts, and become acquainted with their customs—this will certainly be a memorable experience!

After spending about an hour and a half on the islands, we will board the boat for our return trip, finishing at your hotel by around 12:30 pm.

The tour features pickup services from hotels situated in the Puno city center. For those staying outside this area, please make your way to Calle Jirón Arequipa, a location conveniently near the Plaza de Armas.
