Boat Ride + Hiking in Cape Froward

Join us on a boat trip through the Strait of Magellan to Cape Froward, the southernmost point of the American mainland. Along the way, we'll hike to the renowned Cross of the Seas.

Cape Froward Adventure Tour Highlights

At the designated time, we'll collect you from your hotel in Punta Arenas and travel to the Punta Arbol pier. Here, our adventure begins as we embark on a boat excursion through the Strait of Magellan, connecting the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific Ocean.

As we traverse the waters, we'll enjoy views of extraordinary landscapes, including Magellanic forests, Andean peaks, and fjords. Key points of interest include Mount Tarn, the San Isidro lighthouse, and the bays of El Águila, El Indio, San Nicolás, and Rosas.

Our journey southward continues to Mount Sarmiento. If conditions allow, we may spot native wildlife, such as southern dolphins and sea lions, near Cape Froward. If the weather permits, we will explore the name's origin during a shore visit; otherwise, we will continue our nautical adventure.

Upon reaching Cape Froward, we'll embark on a one-hour hiking expedition to the Cross of the Seas, one of the southernmost crucifixes in the world. The panoramic views include part of the Alberto de Agostini National Park.

After the hike, we will have a picnic lunch with sandwiches, nuts, and a choice of tea or coffee. Our return journey will take us back to Punta Arbol by boat, and we anticipate arriving at your hotel around 12 hours after our initial pickup.
