Cape Froward Adventure Tour Highlights
We'll collect you from your hotel in Punta Arenas and travel to the Punta Arbol pier. Our adventure begins as we embark on a boat excursion through the Strait of Magellan, connecting the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific Ocean.
As we navigate the waters, we will see landscapes including Magellanic forests, Andean peaks, and fjords. Key sites include Mount Tarn, the San Isidro lighthouse, and the bays of El Águila, El Indio, San Nicolás, and Rosas.
Our journey continues southward to Mount Sarmiento. If conditions allow, we may see wildlife such as southern dolphins and sea lions near Cape Froward. We will learn about the name's origin if weather permits a shore visit; otherwise, we will continue our boat adventure.
Upon reaching Cape Froward, we will hike for one hour to the Cross of the Seas, one of the southernmost crucifixes globally. The views from here include part of the Alberto de Agostini National Park.
After hiking, we will have a picnic lunch with sandwiches, nuts, and a choice of tea or coffee.
Afterward, we will return to Punta Arbol by boat and then back to Punta Arenas, with an expected arrival at your hotel around 12 hours after pickup.
