On this tour from Punta Arenas, we'll kayak to the San Isidro lighthouse, one of the most remote places in Chilean Patagonia. Are you ready for the journey?
Kayak to the San Isidro Lighthouse
We'll meet at 9 am at Errázuriz Street in Punta Arenas, and from there we'll move south along the National Highway 9 of Chilean Patagonia. During the trip, we will skirt the coast of the Strait of Magellan.
After about one hour, we'll arrive at Punta Arbol, where we'll have a cup of coffee before preparing our kayaks and equipment for the trip. We will then embark on a two-hour kayak tour to the San Isidro lighthouse, which has a medium difficulty level.
During the trip, we'll be able to observe native animals such as sea lions, southern dolphins, and whales.
We will disembark in a quiet bay near the San Isidro lighthouse for a picnic lunch with sandwiches and other products. This break will allow us to admire the landscapes of Tierra del Fuego and the Darwin mountain range.
From the bay, we will kayak back to the starting point. Here we will enjoy a beer to celebrate before returning by road to Punta Arenas, with arrival scheduled at 6 pm.
