Join us as we hike with llamas in Purmamarca and walk along the paths surrounding this town accompanied by typical animals from the Andes. It will be an unforgettable experience!

Hike with Llamas in Purmamarca

Our hike will begin in front of the Church of Purmamarca, where we'll meet at 3 pm. We will be accompanied by a traditional Andean llama caravan.

During this experience, we will be caravaneers for the day. We'll discuss the historical journeys of the ancestors of Purmamarca's people, who traveled from local salt flats to valleys to exchange salt for corn, learning the importance of both products.

We will traverse several low trails with the llamas, making stops to learn about the landscape and local culture. Along the route, we will view a unique array of colorful hills and investigate their colors.

As we hike, we will learn about the area's main endemic plants, including molles, churquis, pencas, and airampos, which possess significant medicinal and nutritional properties.

At 6 pm, we will conclude our hike back at the meeting point and bid farewell to the llamas.
