Hike with Llamas in Purmamarca

Join us for a hike in Purmamarca, where we will walk along scenic paths with traditional Andean llamas. The hike commences at 3 pm in front of the Church of Purmamarca.

Participants will serve as caravaneers for the day, learning about historical journeys made by the ancestors of Purmamarca's people, who traveled between local salt flats and valleys for trade. The focus will be on the significance of salt and corn.

During the hike, we will traverse several low trails, stopping to learn about the diverse local culture and striking hilly landscapes, as well as the reasons for their vibrant colors.

Additionally, we will explore the area’s endemic plants, including molles, churquis, pencas, and airampos, which hold various medicinal and nutritional benefits.

The excursion concludes at 6 pm, returning to the meeting point to bid farewell to the llamas.
