Purmamarca Hiking Activity at Night

At 7 pm, we'll set off from the Church of Purmamarca on our nighttime hiking activity through this picturesque town in the province of Jujuy. The beauty of the Andean sky awaits!

As we watch the stars twinkle in the sky, we'll learn some facts about the local culture. Our hike will begin in front of the church, allowing us to appreciate the cultural identity of the quebradeña, formed over more than 10,000 years. We'll pass by the cemetery of Purmamarca, discovering traditions linked to the celebrations of the dead that occur every November.

Our route will include several archaeological findings to help us understand Purmamarca's history. As the sky is covered with stars, we'll learn stories related to Andean cosmovision.

Along the way, we'll discuss the ancestral knowledge of the Purmamarca people, who have guided walkers through the Chakana and other hills.

We'll conclude our nighttime hike back at the meeting point, where we'll say our goodbyes at 9 pm.
