Impressive natural landscapes and fascinating history: explore Quebrada de Humahuaca and the picturesque town of Uquía on this excursion from Purmamarca.
Quebrada de Humahuaca Excursion
Between 10:15 am and 10:30 am on the day of the tour, pickup will be from your hotel in Purmamarca. We will depart the town, known for its views of the Hill of the Seven Colours, and head towards Maimará, a village beneath the Paleta del Pintor. Here, the multi-coloured rock formation offers a unique sight.
Next, we will travel to Uquía, allowing free time for exploration. Visit the Church of San Francisco de Paula to view its renowned "Ángeles arcabuceros" paintings.
After our visit, we will stop at the Tropic of Capricorn to take photos by the latitude markers before proceeding to Humahuaca, the valley's largest city. We will explore its historic centre, viewing the Heroes of the Independence Monument and the Tower of Santa Barbara. You will then have an hour for lunch (not included).
Following lunch, we will return to Purmamarca, dropping you off at approximately 4 pm.
