Salinas Grandes Tour

Description

We'll pick you up from Purmamarca between 10:15 am and 10:30 am and set off to the Salinas Grandes. These salt flats are among the largest in South America and a popular photography spot in northwest Argentina.

Following trails up the Lipán, Saladillo, and Abra de Potrerillos hills, we'll enjoy panoramic views of Purmamarca's rugged landscapes. Wildlife such as vicuñas and llamas may be seen along the route.

At Salinas Grandes, situated at an average altitude of 3,450 meters, you'll see the striking white desert. The vast salt flat provides a stunning contrast against the blue sky. Be sure to bring your camera!

We will spend 45 minutes in Salinas Grandes, learning about its history and formation, before returning to Purmamarca. You'll have an hour for lunch or to explore the town at your leisure.

We will then depart back to Purmamarca, arriving at around 3:30 pm.
