Salinas Grandes Tour

Description

We'll pick you up from Purmamarca between 10:15 am and 10:30 am for the excursion to the Salinas Grandes. These salt flats, one of the largest in South America, are one of the most photographed places in northwest Argentina.

Following the trails up the Lipán, Saladillo, and Abra de Potrerillos hills, we'll enjoy panoramic views of the rugged landscapes of Purmamarca. Keep an eye out for local wildlife such as vicuñas and llamas along the route.

At Salinas Grandes, averaging 3,450 meters above sea level, you'll see the striking white desert against the blue sky. We will spend 45 minutes in Salinas Grandes, learning about its history and formation, before heading back to Purmamarca. You will have an hour of free time to have lunch or explore the town.

We will regroup and return to Purmamarca, arriving around 3:30 pm.
