Discover the sacred pilgrimage centre of Pushkar, the city of 400 temples, through its iconic holy sites. Experience the religions of India on this walking tour.

Itinerary

Meet your guide at the scheduled time at the main entrance of the ancient stone Varaha Temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Hear the tale of the deity appearing as a boar to protect goddess Earth and admire this 12th-century temple, the oldest in Pushkar.

The next stop will be the historic Rangji Temple, featuring a carved stone tower adorned with representations of various Hindu gods. Learn about the different beliefs in India, home to four major world religions, each with distinct architectural styles.

Continuing through narrow alleyways, you'll reach the Brahma Temple, known as Pushkar's most famous religious building and the only shrine dedicated to the Hindu creator god in the city, one of the few remaining in the Indian subcontinent.

The final stop will be the hilltop Savitri Temple, dedicated to one of Lord Brahma's wives. Learn the ancient Hindu tale of this goddess while enjoying panoramic views over Pushkar Lake and the city.

Your tour will conclude nearby after exploring the temple surroundings.
