5-day Parinacota and Taapacá Trip

Day 1

The tour begins with a pickup from your hotel in Putre. You'll visit the Taapacá volcano viewpoint, followed by a trip to Colpita and the colorful mountains of Suriplaza. You can choose to admire the peaks from the base or trek up to 17,388 feet (5,300 meters). Overnight will be in rural lodging in Parinacota.

Day 2

After breakfast, enjoy trekking around the Cotacotani Lagoons and Chungará Lake in Lauca National Park. There will be a stop at Chiriguaya hot springs before reaching a rural house in Chimvatambo for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3

Your day will start at the vicuña reserve, followed by a route through Chinchillani hill, Salar Salt Flats, and Chilcaya plain. After visiting the Polloquere hot springs, you'll head to the villages of Isluga and Cariquima for dinner and lodging.

Day 4

On the fourth day, visit Coipasa Salt Flats on the Chile-Bolivia border. After returning to Cariquima to see its church and Community Museum, the tour continues to Tarapacá to admire the San Lorenzo sanctuary and the Atacama Giant. Lunch is in Huara, followed by a rural lodge stay in Nama.

Day 5

On the final day, tour the Red Lagoon and Rainbow waterfall near Nama. After lunch in Nama and Camiña, you'll return to your hotel in Putre in the late afternoon.
