Calvario Hill Hike

Between 7 and 8 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Putre and travel to Calvario Hill in the Andean foothills of the Chilean Altiplano.

Upon arrival, we'll begin a medium to high-difficulty hike from the base of the hill. The hike will take between 3 and 4 hours, depending on the group's pace. This hike is divided into different stages as we ascend to the summit at 13,123 feet (4,000 metres) above sea level, where stunning views await.

At the summit, you'll find a large cross, noted as the largest in Putre, which dates back to colonial times and is significant in traditional Andean ceremonies like the Cruz de Mayo (May Cross). Information about this celebration will be provided during the activity.

We'll pause at the top for a picnic lunch, featuring sandwiches, dried fruits, nuts, chocolates, and natural juices. After the meal, we'll descend the mountain.

The route concludes at the trail's starting point, and we will return you to your hotel in Putre, arriving between 11 am and 12 pm.
