Chapiquiña & Juntuma Hot Springs Day Trip

Pick up from your hotel in Putre will occur between 7 and 8 am, as we travel to Chapiquiña and Juntuma in the Chilean Altiplano.

We will start in the village of Socoroma to visit the Church of San Francisco de Asis. Next, we will go to Zapahuira to see Inca archaeological remains and their historical significance.

Our journey continues to Belén, home to the Churches of Our Lady of Carmen and Our Lady of Belén. Here, we will have a picnic lunch with sandwiches, dried fruits, chocolates, and juice.

After lunch, we will explore the natural areas surrounding Chapiquiña and may encounter Andean wildlife including llamas, alpacas, and vicuñas. Our final destination will be the Juntuma Hot Springs, at an altitude of 12,467 feet (3,800 metres) above sea level.

Accessing the hot springs involves a vehicle journey to a certain point, followed by a walk. After enjoying the scenery, we will return to your hotel in Putre for farewell between 4 and 5 pm.
