Let yourself be enchanted by the beauty of the Chilean Altiplano in Chapiquiña on our day trip. We'll also visit the famous Juntuma Hot Springs on this adventure through the Andean foothills.

Chapiquiña & Juntuma Hot Springs Day Trip

We will pick you up from your hotel in Putre between 7 and 8 am and travel to Chapiquiña and Juntuma in the heart of the Chilean Altiplano.

The day trip will begin with a visit to the village of Socoroma, where the Church of San Francisco de Asis is located. Next, we will stop in Zapahuira to see Inca archaeological remains and discuss their historical significance.

We will proceed to the village of Belén, home to two religious buildings: the Churches of Our Lady of Carmen and Our Lady of Belén. A picnic lunch with sandwiches, dried fruits, chocolates, and juice will follow.

Post-lunch, we will explore the natural areas surrounding Chapiquiña, where we may spot Andean wildlife like llamas, alpacas, and vicuñas. Our final stop will be the Juntuma Hot Springs, located at an altitude of 12,467 feet (3,800 metres) above sea level.

Due to the challenging access to the hot springs, we will travel as far as possible by vehicle and then walk the rest of the way. After enjoying the scenery, we will return to your hotel in Putre and conclude the day between 4 and 5 pm.
