Let yourself be enchanted by the beauty of the Chilean Altiplano in Chapiquiña on our day trip. We'll also visit the famous Juntuma Hot Springs on this adventure through the Andean foothills.

Chapiquiña & Juntuma Hot Springs Day Trip

Having picked you up from your hotel in Putre between 7 and 8 am, we'll travel to the areas around Chapiquiña and Juntuma in the heart of the Chilean Altiplano.

Our day trip will begin with a visit to the village of Socoroma, where the Church of San Francisco de Asis stands out. The next stop will be in Zapahuira, to view Inca archaeological remains.

The route will continue to the village of Belén, home to the Churches of Our Lady of Carmen and Our Lady of Belén. We'll have a picnic lunch of sandwiches, dried fruits, chocolates, and juice.

After lunch, we'll explore beautiful natural areas surrounding Chapiquiña. We may see some Andean wildlife such as llamas, alpacas, and vicuñas. Our final stop will be at the Juntuma Hot Springs, located at an altitude of 12,467 feet (3,800 meters) above sea level.

The hot springs are in a ravine that is somewhat difficult to access, so we'll travel by vehicle as far as possible before walking the remaining distance. After enjoying the scenery, we'll return to your hotel in Putre, concluding the trip between 4 and 5 pm.
