Let yourself be enchanted by the beauty of the Chilean Altiplano in Chapiquiña on our day trip. We'll also visit the famous Juntuma Hot Springs on this adventure through the Andean foothills.

Chapiquiña & Juntuma Hot Springs Day Trip

We will pick you up from your hotel in Putre between 7 and 8 am and travel to Chapiquiña and Juntuma in the heart of the Chilean Altiplano.

The trip starts with a visit to the village of Socoroma to see the Church of San Francisco de Asis. Next, we will stop in Zapahuira to view Inca archaeological remains and discuss their significance.

We will continue to the village of Belén, home to the Churches of Our Lady of Carmen and Our Lady of Belén. A picnic lunch of sandwiches, dried fruits, chocolates, and juice will be provided.

After lunch, we will explore natural areas surrounding Chapiquiña, potentially spotting llamas, alpacas, and vicuñas. Our final stop will be the Juntuma Hot Springs, located at an altitude of 12,467 feet (3,800 metres). Due to access challenges, we will travel as far as possible by vehicle before walking to the hot springs. After enjoying the scenery, we will return to your hotel in Putre, concluding the trip between 4 and 5 pm.
