Cotacotani Lagoons Hike

At 7 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Putre and head to Lauca National Park. We'll reach an altitude of 14,271 feet (4,350 meters) to admire the Cotacotani Lagoons and surrounding volcanoes.

The hike will begin from the lagoon viewpoint, where the vast landscape of the Chilean Altiplano stretches toward the Bolivian border, a habitat for alpacas and vicuñas.

During the walk around the Cotacotani Lagoons, you'll see the Parinacota and Pomerape volcanoes, which exceed 19,685 feet (6,000 meters) in altitude. We'll stop in the protected area around Cotacotani to admire the scenery.

A picnic lunch will be provided on the shores of the lagoons, including sandwiches, dried fruits, nuts, chocolate, and natural juices. After lunch, we'll continue exploring the Cotacotani Lagoons.

After walking about 6 miles (9 to 10 kilometers), the hike will conclude at the starting point. We'll return to your hotel in Putre and drop you off between 1 and 2 pm.
