Guane Guane Mountain Hike

Set off on an adventure with us and admire the scenery that surrounds the sacred Guane Guane Mountain. We'll leave Putre behind and hike to a mountain in northern Chile's Andean Altiplano.

Guane Guane Mountain Hike

At 7 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Putre and drive to Parinacota. In the outskirts of this Andean village, we'll find the sacred Guane Guane Mountain.

We'll exit our vehicle at the base of the peak and start hiking. This medium-difficulty hike will last around 9 hours and will take us through stunning scenery. The summit of the mountain stands at an altitude of 16,732 feet (5,100 metres) and offers remarkable views.

From the summit, we'll observe views of Lauca National Park, Chungará Lake, and the Cotacotani Lagoons.

At the halfway point, we'll have a picnic lunch of sandwiches, dried fruit, chocolates and juices. After lunch, we'll begin our descent back to the starting point of the trail.

Following the hike, we will take you back to your hotel in Putre, with drop-off between 3 and 5 pm.
