Guane Guane Mountain Hike

Set off on an adventure and admire the scenery surrounding the sacred Guane Guane Mountain. We'll leave Putre and hike to this mountain in northern Chile's Andean Altiplano.

Guane Guane Mountain Hike

At 7 am, we will pick you up from your hotel in Putre and drive to Parinacota, where we will find the sacred Guane Guane Mountain.

We will exit the vehicle at the base of the peak and begin a medium-difficulty hike lasting around 9 hours. The summit reaches an altitude of 16,732 feet (5,100 metres) with spectacular views.

From the summit, we will enjoy views of Lauca National Park, Chungará Lake, and the Cotacotani Lagoons.

At the halfway point, we will have a picnic lunch including sandwiches, dried fruit, chocolates, and juices before making our way back down to the starting point of the trail.

After the hike, we will return you to your hotel in Putre, with drop-off scheduled between 3 and 5 pm.
