Guane Guane Mountain Hike

Set off on an adventure with us and admire the scenery that surrounds the sacred Guane Guane Mountain. We'll leave Putre behind and hike to a beautiful mountain in northern Chile's Andean Altiplano.

Guane Guane Mountain Hike

At 7 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Putre and drive to Parinacota. In the outskirts of this Andean village we'll find the sacred Guane Guane Mountain. Let's go!

We'll hop out of our vehicle at the base of this peak and start hiking. Our hike will last around 9 hours and take us through remarkable scenery. The summit of the mountain towers at an altitude of 16,732 feet (5,100 metres) and offers extensive views.

From the summit of Guane Guane, we'll view the Lauca National Park, Chungará Lake, and the Cotacotani Lagoons.

At the halfway point, we'll have a picnic lunch of sandwiches, dried fruit, chocolates, and juices, before starting our descent back to the starting point of the trail.

Afterward, we'll return you to your hotel in Putre, with drop-off scheduled between 3 and 5 pm.
