Lauca 3-day Tour
Day 1
At the scheduled time, pick-up will be at your hotel in Putre. We will visit the caves outside the town, then proceed to the Chucuyo viewpoint for views of Lauca National Park. Next, we stop in Parinacota to visit its church, a National Monument, and the Cotacotani Lagoons viewpoint, along with Chungará Lake.
After, we'll visit the Chirigualla hot springs, followed by Chivatambo for a demonstration on charqui preparation. Dinner and lodging will be in a rural house.
Day 2
After breakfast, visit the vicuña reserve, followed by stops at the Lauca River and Surire Salt Flats. Observe flamingos at Chinchilleni hill and relax at the Polloquere hot springs. A picnic lunch will be provided, then we visit the ancient village of Guallatire. The day concludes at a rural lodge in Socoroma.
Day 3
After breakfast, enjoy a morning of trekking along the Inca Trail and Phusiri Collo. Visit Zapahuira to see ancient Inca structures, followed by Copaquilla and Mallku, learning about local traditions. Experience the Cardones Ravine and view migratory birds in the Lluta wetland. Return to your hotel in Putre in the late afternoon.
Accommodation and meals
All stays are in shared rooms in rural houses with dinner and breakfast included; locations may vary. Lunches will consist of a picnic served during midday breaks.
