Depart from Putre for a 3-day tour through the natural landscapes of Lauca National Park, one of the most beautiful protected areas in northern Chile!

Lauca 3-day Tour

Day 1

At the indicated time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Putre and drive to the caves on the outskirts. After a short walk, we'll visit the Chucuyo viewpoint for views of Lauca National Park. Next, we'll stop in Parinacota to see its church, a National Monument, followed by a visit to the Cotacotani Lagoons and Chungará Lake.

We will then relax at the Chirigualla hot springs and learn about charqui at Chivatambo. Dinner and lodging will be provided in a rural house.

Day 2

Following breakfast, we will visit the vicuña reserve and pass by the Lauca River and Surire Salt Flats. We will view the flamingos near Chinchilleni hill and stop at the Polloquere hot springs.

A picnic lunch will be provided before we visit the altiplano village of Guallatire. Accommodation will be at a rural lodge in Socoroma.

Day 3

After breakfast, we will trek along the Inca Trail and Phusiri Collo, visiting Zapahuira to see ancient Inca constructions. We will then proceed to Copaquilla and Mallku to learn about local traditions before visiting the Cardones Ravine.

We will view migratory birds at the Lluta wetland and return to your hotel in Putre in the late afternoon.

Accommodation and meals

Accommodation is in shared rooms in rural houses, with dinner and breakfast included. Lodging may vary based on availability or weather conditions.

Lunches are included, consisting of a picnic lunch during tours.
